Stamp every page with a text or image watermark
Watermarks do a few jobs at once. They signal status ("DRAFT" on a document that isn't final yet). They claim ownership ("Copyright 2026 — Acme Ltd" across a photo portfolio). They discourage casual re-sharing ("CONFIDENTIAL" across every page of a sensitive report). And they brand — a light company logo behind the content of every deliverable reminds the reader where the document came from without interfering with readability.
The OkFarsi Add Watermark tool applies text or image watermarks across every page (or selected pages) with controls for the details that matter. Opacity — a DRAFT watermark should be prominent (60–70%), a background brand should be subtle (8–15%). Rotation — a diagonal 45° watermark spans the page and is hard to crop out; a horizontal watermark sits cleanly at the top or bottom. Layering — stamp above the content for visibility, or below for a subtle background. Position — centered for maximum coverage, offset to a corner for less intrusive marking.
Text watermarks support any font and size, and you can customize the text for each job ("DRAFT v3", "Prepared for Acme Corp", "CONFIDENTIAL — Internal Only"). Image watermarks accept PNG (including transparency, so your logo doesn't bring a white box along with it) and JPG; the image is scaled to the size and position you pick. For ongoing brand consistency, save the image settings as a preset the first time and reuse them on future jobs.
How to add a watermark to a PDF
- Decide on text vs image
For status stamps (DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, COPY), text is simpler and more readable. For brand or ownership marks, image (logo) gives a more polished result. You can combine both in two separate passes if you need brand + status together.
- Upload the PDF
Drop the file into the upload area. The workspace shows a preview of the first page so you can position the watermark visually rather than by coordinate.
- Enter the text or upload the image
For text, type the exact wording. For image, upload a PNG (with transparent background for the cleanest result) or a JPG. Logo PNGs with transparency are the best choice for brand watermarks.
- Set opacity, rotation, and position
For a DRAFT stamp, start at 60% opacity and 45° rotation in the center. For a background brand, start at 10% opacity and 0° rotation at the center. For a corner mark, position top-right or bottom-right at 30–40% opacity.
- Choose the layering
Stamp above the content for maximum visibility. Stamp below (behind) the content when you want the watermark to feel like part of the paper rather than a stamp on top — classic for subtle brand watermarks.
- Apply to all pages or a selection
All pages is the common case. If a cover page should stay clean, deselect it — the watermark will start on the first content page.
- Run and verify
Download the output and check a couple of pages. The watermark should be readable but not overpowering the content, consistent across pages, and clean on any cover page you chose to skip.
Common use cases
- Mark drafts as drafts
A visible DRAFT watermark prevents confusion when multiple revisions of the same document are circulating at once.
- Brand client deliverables
A subtle company logo behind the text reinforces the source of the document without competing with the content.
- Label confidential material
A CONFIDENTIAL or INTERNAL ONLY watermark discourages casual forwarding and reminds recipients of the sensitivity of the file.
- Protect photo and design portfolios
A copyright image watermark across every page of a portfolio PDF makes it harder for the images to be re-used without attribution.
Privacy & security
Watermarking runs on isolated workers. The tool stamps your chosen text or image onto the pages without reading, indexing, or retaining document contents. Uploaded PDFs and watermarked outputs are both removed from our servers shortly after your download completes. Note that a watermark is a visual deterrent, not encryption — a determined recipient can still extract the underlying text. For actual access control, combine the watermark with password protection in a second step.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put the watermark behind the text instead of on top?
Yes. Switch the layer option to 'below content' and the watermark renders behind the page content. This is the classic look for subtle brand watermarks that shouldn't compete with the text.
Will the watermark be removable?
A watermark burned into the page content is much harder to remove than a simple annotation, but no watermark is irreversible against a determined attacker with image-editing tools. Treat it as a deterrent and combine with password protection for real access control.
Can I use a transparent PNG as the watermark image?
Yes, and it's the recommended format for logo watermarks. Transparent PNGs blend cleanly with the page content instead of stamping a white rectangle around the logo.
What's a good opacity for a subtle brand watermark?
Somewhere between 8% and 15%. Low enough to stay out of the way of the text, high enough to be recognizable on-screen and in print.
Can I apply a watermark to only some pages?
Yes. Deselect any pages that should stay clean — cover pages, dividers, appendix separators. Remaining pages receive the watermark.
Is the watermarked file deleted from your server?
Yes. Both the source and the watermarked output are removed shortly after download. Only an anonymous job identifier is retained.
