Convert Word documents into professional PDFs

PDF is the universal delivery format for documents. Whether you’re sending a proposal to a client, submitting a CV to a hiring portal, uploading a thesis to a university, or printing a formal letter, the recipient almost always expects a PDF — not a Word file that might render differently on their machine. The OkFarsi Word to PDF tool converts your DOC and DOCX files into clean, standards-compliant PDFs that look identical on every device and can be opened without needing Microsoft Word installed.

The conversion preserves everything that matters: fonts (embedded in the output so the file looks the same on every machine), layout (page breaks, margins, line spacing), images, tables, headers and footers, page numbers, and hyperlinks. If your document uses a less common font, the tool embeds a usable substitute automatically so readers who don’t have that font installed still see a visually correct result. The output is a real, searchable PDF — text stays selectable, search works, and screen readers can read the content.

Behind the scenes, the converter uses a full office rendering engine rather than a quick HTML-based approximation. That’s important because Word documents often rely on layout features — floating text boxes, tracked changes, comments, section breaks, columns, complex tables — that cheap converters mishandle. The OkFarsi pipeline uses the same engine behind professional office suites, so heavily formatted documents come out correctly on the first try. You don’t have to spend 20 minutes tweaking the PDF to fix broken bullet points or shifted images.

The tool accepts both legacy .DOC files (from Word 97–2003) and modern .DOCX files. It also handles OpenDocument .ODT files if your team uses LibreOffice or Google Docs as the primary authoring tool. Page size, orientation, and margins come directly from your Word document — the PDF is a faithful reproduction, not a reinterpretation. If your document includes tracked changes or comments, you can choose whether to include them in the PDF or strip them first for a clean presentation copy.

How to convert Word to PDF in 4 steps

  1. Upload your DOC or DOCX file

Drag the file onto the upload area or click to browse. The tool accepts modern .DOCX, legacy .DOC, and OpenDocument .ODT files out of the box.

  2. Review the preview (optional)

For larger documents, the tool shows the detected page count and document title so you can confirm you’ve uploaded the right file before conversion starts.

  3. Run the conversion

Press Convert and watch the progress bar. The engine opens your document, applies the same pagination Word would use, embeds fonts, and produces the PDF.

  4. Download the PDF

When the job finishes, download the resulting PDF. It opens in every PDF reader, is searchable, and looks identical on every device. Your Word file and the PDF are then removed from the server.

Common use cases

  • Job applications and CVs

Submit your resume as a PDF so formatting stays intact no matter what software the employer uses to open it — a hiring manager on a phone sees exactly what you designed.

  • Contracts and official letters

Send formal correspondence as a PDF to avoid accidental edits and to produce a stable archival copy that looks the same years from now.

  • Academic submissions

Most universities require PDF submissions for assignments, theses, and journal papers. Converting from Word preserves your reference list, citations, and figure captions.

  • Invoices and proposals

Deliver client-facing documents as PDFs so pricing, terms, and branding stay exactly the way you formatted them — no more shifted logos or reflowed tables.

Privacy & security

Your Word file is uploaded over HTTPS and processed on an isolated converter worker. The source document and the generated PDF are both removed from the server shortly after your download completes. We don’t read, index, or retain your document contents; we don’t share files with third parties; and no content is used for any kind of analytics or training. Because the conversion is performed on our own servers rather than through an external cloud API, your document never leaves our infrastructure during processing. For confidential documents such as contracts and legal letters, this is meaningfully safer than round-tripping through consumer email or chat tools.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?

Yes. The converter uses a full office rendering engine, so the PDF reproduces your Word pagination, fonts, layout, images, and tables faithfully — not an approximate HTML rendering.

Can I convert a .DOC (Word 97–2003) file?

Yes. The tool accepts legacy .DOC files alongside modern .DOCX, and also handles OpenDocument .ODT files from LibreOffice or Google Docs.

Does the PDF stay searchable?

Yes. Text is preserved as real text in the PDF, so search, copy, and screen readers all work on the output — it’s not a flattened image.

What happens to fonts the viewer doesn’t have installed?

Fonts used in your document are embedded into the PDF automatically, so the file looks correct even on machines where the original fonts aren’t installed.

Are comments and tracked changes included?

By default, the tool produces a clean presentation copy without visible comments or tracked changes. You can toggle this behavior if you want the PDF to include them for review.

Is my Word document deleted after conversion?

Yes. Both the source DOCX and the generated PDF are deleted from the server shortly after your download. We only retain an anonymous job identifier to deliver the download link.
